How to Link Your Partner Privately in Rupee Compass
Learn how Connected Partner links two separate accounts for joint AI planning without exposing transactions, balances, SMS messages, documents, or profiles.

What Connected Partner means
Connected Partner lets two adults plan together while keeping two separate Rupee Compass accounts. It is not a shared login, it does not merge account ownership, and it gives neither person permission to browse the other person's financial pages or records.

- Either person can disconnect without deleting the other person's data.
How to link a spouse or partner
Open Connected Partner from the Family area, choose Spouse or Partner, and enter the exact email address the other person uses for Rupee Compass. They install or open the app, tap the expiring link in the invitation email, sign in with that exact email, review the privacy promise, and explicitly approve.
- Signing in alone does not approve the connection.
- A different email account cannot approve the invitation.
- An expired, declined, or cancelled link requires a fresh invitation.
What joint AI can process
After mutual approval, Rupee Compass can calculate broad combined readiness bands for household cash flow, EMI pressure, emergency readiness, and shared goals. The AI uses those bands, not either participant's individual amounts or records. Existing AI plan eligibility still applies.
What always stays private
Neither person can see the other's Dashboard, transactions, balances, SMS messages, merchants, categories, cards, loans, documents, profile, email address, internal identifier, or settings. The AI also does not receive these raw participant values for Connected Partner guidance.
Connected Partner versus Share Access
Share Access is a separate feature for deliberately showing selected pages or documents with explicit permissions. Connected Partner reveals no pages and no raw records. It enables only a privacy-bounded joint AI signal after both adults consent.
How to disconnect and reconnect
Either person can choose Disconnect partner and confirm the decision. Future joint AI processing stops immediately while both accounts keep their own data. Reconnecting later requires a new invitation and a new approval; an old link cannot restore the relationship.
Common edge cases
If the invited person has not installed the app, they should install it, return to the invitation email, and tap the approval link again. A wrong-email or expired invitation cannot be reused. Each account can have only one active Connected Partner relationship at a time, which prevents accidental cross-linking.
